The original for An Offering by Cristina Aine Berretta was done with watercolor, acrylic, antique marbled paper, and coal ball peel* on stained wood, all of which are reproduced beautifully on this 8x10 inch print, image size 7 x 8 3/4 inches.
This print was made using archival ink on acid free art paper.
Signed and titled in pencil under print.
Shipped flat with protective board.
Frame NOT included.
*fossil peel = coal ball peel
What on earth is that, you ask? It’s literally a fossil. In a nutshell, a coal ball is a round accumulation of fossilized plant material from approximately 300 million years ago. Cristina's beloved father-in-law, a renowned paleobotanist, provided her with peels removed from these coal balls.
